New Driver Recruitment

HB Dhaliwal employ a thorough recruitment process for new drivers, which encompasses various checks and confirmations, including but not limited to:

  • Driving history
  • Criminal history
  • Medical fitness
  • Employment record

After passing the initial assessment, applicants are obligated to undergo a compulsory driver induction led by a qualified assessor. This session includes training and assessment covering:

  • Basic load restraining
  • Chain of responsibility
  • Fatigue Management
  • Health and safety
  • Introduction to the HB Dhaliwal fleet of vehicles

Following the successful completion of induction, drivers must work under the supervision of another driver for one week or until the demonstrating of safe driving techniques satisfies the supervising driver.

Our drivers and vehicles adhere to NHVR regulations across all states and territories. Approved technicians regularly service our vehicles, which undergo inspections at relevant authorities. Drivers must monitor their fatigue, and we maintain a digital register of driver shifts and hours to ensure NHVR driving hour compliance.
